Two electric pressure washers recalled over shock risk: models to check

New CPSC recalls cover YERYORK YE-006 and Steelite AZ6041VC pressure washers sold on Amazon. Both lack integrated GFCI protection and adequate cord length.

Two recalls point to the same electrical hazard

The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission announced two electric pressure-washer recalls on August 27 after finding the machines lack an integrated ground-fault circuit interrupter, or GFCI, and have inadequate cord length. The notices cover 300 YERYORK units and about 128 Steelite units sold on Amazon. CPSC says the defects create a risk of serious shock or electrocution. Neither recall listed a reported incident or injury when published.

How to identify the YERYORK model

The YERYORK recall covers model YE-006, a green-and-black 2.5-gallon-per-minute electric pressure washer. The model number appears on a label on top of the unit near the handle. The package included a 500-milliliter foam cannon, four quick-disconnect nozzles, a roughly 33-foot hose and four lockable wheels. CPSC says the affected machines were sold on Amazon from March 2025 through June 2026 for about $120. Only units without a GFCI are included.

How to identify the Steelite model

The Steelite recall covers model AZ6041VC, a red-and-black 2.5-gallon-per-minute electric pressure washer. Its model number appears on a label on the back. The machine came with a foam cannon, four quick-connect nozzles and a 20-foot hose. CPSC says Amazon sold the affected units from April through June 2026 for $45 to $92. Color alone is not enough to identify either recall; check the brand, model label and the current CPSC notice.

Why the missing protection matters around water

A GFCI monitors the current flowing to and returning from electrical equipment and cuts power when it detects a potentially dangerous imbalance. OSHA advises using a GFCI in damp locations and warns against using electric tools in wet conditions unless they are approved for that purpose. That general guidance explains the safety function; it does not offer a workaround for these recalls. An outdoor GFCI receptacle, extension cord or home repair does not cancel CPSC’s direction to stop using the affected machine.

Stop using the machine before starting the refund process

CPSC tells owners of either model to stop using it immediately and contact the seller for a full refund. YERYORK owners can use the product-recall page at yeryork.com or email yeryorkrecalls@outlook.com. Steelite owners are directed to contact Longer 3D at 2991426091@qq.com. Both remedies require proof that the product was destroyed by cutting its power cord—but only after it has been unplugged. Follow the current recall instructions, keep any requested proof and dispose of the disabled unit under local rules. Do not resell, donate or keep using a recalled machine while a refund is pending.

If a shock, burn or product failure occurred

Call 911 for a severe shock, loss of consciousness, breathing trouble, chest pain, a serious burn or another emergency. Do not touch a person who may still be in contact with live current; disconnect power safely if you can do so without approaching the hazard. Even a person who initially feels well may need medical evaluation after an electrical shock. Product defects and related injuries can be reported to CPSC through SaferProducts.gov; save the model label, order record, photos and a factual timeline without continuing to operate the machine.

The recall is national, not a claimed local incident

The federal notices describe Amazon sales across the United States and do not identify a California, Orange County, Irvine or Los Angeles incident. NOCTI is publishing the model-checking steps as practical consumer-safety information, not as evidence of a local exposure. This article is educational and is not electrical, medical or legal advice. When a product, outlet or cord is damaged or uncertain, keep it disconnected and consult the manufacturer, recall administrator or a qualified professional.
