Gyms, jiu-jitsu and climbing in Fresno. Hit something, then ask about the contract.
Short answer: Fresno is a fighter’s town, and most of the jiu-jitsu and MMA gyms below advertise a free trial class before you pay anyone. Frontline BJJ Fresno, Rivalry Jiu Jitsu, Dethrone MMA and Pacific Martial Arts each list a free trial class. Pacific Martial Arts publishes memberships from $159 a month, MetalMark Climbing lists a $25 day pass before 3 PM on weekdays, and CenCal Barbell gives members 24/7 access with an on-site sauna.
Most Fresno gyms keep their prices off the internet, which is a bold strategy. Here is what each place says on its own site, so you can walk in knowing what to ask.
