Massage, sauna and recovery in Sacramento. Hot weather, cold plunges, honest prices.

Short answer: a 60-minute intro massage at Massage Envy Midtown is $90, and a drop-in sauna session at The SPACE is $35. Massage Envy’s Midtown page lists $90 intro and $150 non-member rates for 60 minutes, The SPACE lists a $20 cold plunge, and Asha Urban Baths lists $39 for up to two hours on its own site. Several others, including Hand & Stone and Massage Heights, post no per-service prices we could read, so call first.

Sacramento is a city where it hits 100 degrees and somehow the answer is still “let’s sit in a sauna.” Fair enough. Between desk shoulders, gym tweaks and a very committed Midtown nightlife, here is where to get worked on, steamed and cooled down, with what each place actually publishes.

Check the therapist, not the logo

In California, CAMTC certifies individual massage therapists, not businesses. Ask for your therapist’s CAMTC number and look it up with “Verify Certification” on camtc.org.

Say what you want in one line

“Deep tissue, firm pressure, upper back and neck, skip my left knee.” Specific beats polite, and it saves you from a nap you didn’t pay for.

Call when prices are missing

Hand & Stone, Massage Heights and Saha publish no readable dollar amounts on the pages we read. Ask for the total with tax and tip before you book.
