Body & Wellness · Los Angeles · Checked November 2, 2026

Massage, Korean spas and recovery in central LA. Real prices, no guesswork.

Short answer: central LA runs from a $30 Korean spa day pass to about $140 for an hour of deep tissue. Crystal Spa in Koreatown lists a $30 day pass, Silverlake Wellness Spa lists $70 for a 60-minute deep-tissue massage, and Beverly Hot Springs lists $140 for 55 minutes, with its entrance fee waived when you book a massage. Pick by neighborhood first, because crossing LA for a massage is its own workout.

Los Angeles is a lot of traffic with a spa at the end of each stretch. This is a practical where-to-go guide for the middle of town (Silver Lake, Hollywood, Koreatown, Mid-City, Downtown): what each place offers, what it costs, and the house rules, so you are not guessing at the front desk.

What men actually ask

Paraphrased from public discussions, with links. Not endorsements.

  • Which Korean spa should I try first in LA?In an r/AskLosAngeles thread, one commenter called Wi Spa large and good value (open around the clock, with food and many saunas) and another recommended Beverly Hot Springs for its spring water. One said Wi Spa’s price had gone from about $30 to $40 over time. r/AskLosAngeles thread ↗
  • What actually happens at a Korean spa the first time?Commenters in a separate r/AskLosAngeles thread described the flow: staff give you a towel and a shirt and shorts for the shared areas, you change in the locker room, shower before the sauna or pools, and wear the provided outfit in co-ed areas. They said the atmosphere is quiet and nudity is treated as ordinary. Budget about four hours. r/AskLosAngeles thread ↗
  • Do I wear anything during a massage?Beverly Hot Springs says swimwear or undergarments must be worn during all massage and facial treatments, and it provides a robe and slippers. Other places set their own rules, so ask when you book. Beverly Hot Springs FAQ ↗
  • Can I just walk in?At Crystal Spa the heated rooms are walk-in with a day pass, but scrubs and massage need a phone call first. Beverly Hot Springs says no confirmation means no appointment. Crystal Spa website ↗

Before you book

Make the first visit easy

Pick the neighborhood, then the spa

Silver Lake, Hollywood, Koreatown, Mid-City and Downtown are all different drives at rush hour. Book the one near where you will be at 6 PM, not the one with the nicer photos.

Check the therapist, not the logo

In California, CAMTC certification is voluntary, and some cities require it. Ask your therapist for their certificate number and look it up with “Verify Certification” on camtc.org.

Korean spa rules differ by house

Crystal Spa provides a uniform but not robes, Wi Spa lists its scrub as done nude, and Beverly Hot Springs keeps phones out of the spa area. Read the page, or call, before you go.
